Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson hails from the US and is a performer, actor, writer/singer/director. Her most famous role is playing Tara Maclay from the TV Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also directed her own films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the main actress in these films. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter, born on the 8th of January 1977, of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her younger sister is Danielle, who has a career as an artist. Benson has a father who is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. In the years since Buffy was cancelled, Benson was in films including The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Her talents as a writer have been put to good use in Ghosts of Albion, and she was the director of Drones (2010). Buffy states that she's discovered and counted over 1800 Slayers with 500 who are part of the Scooby Gang. Slayers are now able to be revived once they attain their maturity. Soledad, for example was awakened at her sixteenth. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena for Season 10 Supernatural. She is definitely a mysterious old-school witch.
